Reader’s Question:

I’m from Houston, Texas and my boyfriend is really a fan of Acura, what can you say about the driving performance and security of the latest Acura TL?

Gwen

Houston, TX

Aside from a fantastic interior and exterior, the Acura TL has an impressive level of performance. With a high-flow exhaust system, paddle shifters, suspension tuning, Brembo brakes, and six-speed manual transmission combined with the effortless handle of the car is inevitable. The TL line also has two engines for consumers to consider, each with their own set of technological prowess. Take this for example, the 3.2-liter V-6 produces 258 horsepower and has earned an Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) rating. The newer 3.5-liter V-6 offers increased displacement alongside improvements with regards to the intake and exhaust flow.

From the inside, the controls and displays of the 2008 Acura TL are a remarkable feature with exquisitely designed instrument panels that are really readable. The sporty design of the 3-spoke steering wheel gives emphasis to a few handy controls. An appropriate and efficient feature of the controls and displays includes the driver’s ability to personalize settings. Depending on the audio, navigation, and climate features of your car, voice recognition allows you to operate extra perks using easy voice commands. A Bluetooth HandsFree Link makes communication outside the 2008 Acura TL smooth and easy.

Speaking about its issue on safety and security, the latest in safety technology is observed in the 2008 Acura TL, since manufacturers have delivered the innovation of the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), at least 6 airbags (front, side, and side curtain), and the Occupant Position Detection System (also known as OPOS). The rear view camera stays on guard whenever a driver is in reverse. You can see the rearview of the car, which makes it easier for drivers to detect various obstacles like garbage cans, bike riders, small children, and parallel parking.

It has a standard seat belt that assists in carrying out the 2008 Acura TL’s commitment to safety and security, as all 5 seating positions has three-point belts. Upfront, seat belts showcase what is called “pretension- and load-limiter” systems. The pretensioners activates on full alert during the first milliseconds of impact - tightening in an effort to keep the passenger in position against the seatbelt. In the end, the use of load limiters avoids unnecessary pressure on the chest which slightly releases some of the belt tension.

As for child safety concerns, the 2008 Acura TL comes with LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) in the back seating. The sensor deactivates side air bags when a child is seated on the front seat. All four windows and the roof of the Acura TL are outfitted with an anti-pinch feature that makes sure the fingers of little ones are never harmed.

Generally, the 2008 Acura TL is an impressive and fantastic car that combines sleek exterior and interior features with sporty details that are sure to keep a wide-range of drivers safe and satisfied with the look, design, and feel of this cutting-edge vehicle. Check your Houston Acura dealer to see what else this fab car can give you and your loved one.

Hi. I live in Houston, Texas and I just wanna know, what are some factors to consider when buying Acura body kits?

Harold

Houston, TX

Cars are precious vehicles that can take us any where and what is more interesting is we can make them look exotic. We can make an Acura car look more interesting by having a body conversion done. Various Acura body kits are available and will provide you with a host of options to try out. You can check different types of these body kits at prices which are relative to the kit. You can also find a host of dealers in Houston where you can buy these car body kits.

One factor you should consider before you charge into buying Acura body kits is the make and model of the car. Although there are universal body parts, certain parts will need to have a custom look. This look can be achieved with the use of right model, make, of kit parts.

Once this option is already checked, the next step is to decide where you will shop for the best body kits on the market. As there are numerous of options you might want to list, and the changes you want made to your car and the maximum price you are willing to pay. This can actually narrow your options; initially it will give you an idea of what to look for. Try checking your Acura car dealers in Houston.

Once you already has a list, then you can call or visit the nearest auto body shop and find out if they sell body kits. Once you have ascertained this fact, then you can proceed to look and see if the various parts you require to give your car a complete face lift are available. The next step is to check out if the body shop will be able to install and paint your new Acura body part.

Houston 2009 Acura TSX

Filed under: Acura cars Houston — author @ 9:36 pm

Reader’s Question:

Acura cars has been known for being compact, why is it that the upcoming Acura TSX is said to be a little way too different from its predecessors?

Jesse

Houston, TX

Indeed, the 2009 Acura TSX is the newest in the Acura family line up. But his car got bigger and heavier that the Acura TL (which is the elder version). The bloat seemed somehow ridiculous because Acura is now moving away from the arena of compact cars, just when it is beginning to gain acceptance in the US.

I took a test drive of this new bloat late last week. I had to drive it for only around 10 miles under a heavy traffic in the suburbs of Houston, Texas.

The TSX is really quiet and nice. The lightweight door opens and swings easily and would slam with a solid thud. The leather interiors had became really common, but the hides really announce their presence with a good smell. The dash is a bit over- styled, but the logic of the steering and navigation, the sound system, and the climate controls is exquisite and perfect. The seats also feel great and comfortable. The cabin materials have no evidence of shortcuts. I was also pleased and surprised to see a manual gear lever poking up from the console. The big 2.4-liter four in the cylinder is so smooth, well mannered and effective that it could easily be mistaken for a six. It shrugs off the car’s almost 150-lb weight gain. I drove the TSX in the rain, along a freeway in Houston Texas during a rainy day and torque steer was kept under control because the traction control system is hyper intrusive. I was on the freeway, where the ride was quiet and more comfortable than an RDX, but I was a bit disappointed because the steering is a little dead and too quick just off center.

Overall, The TSX is still a very pleasant car, even if it is no longer a compact car. Maybe Acura can bring back the Integra to fill the base of its car line up.

You can contact your local Acura car dealers in Texas for the availability date of this new release.

Acura dealer in Houston

Normally I do my own budgeting before I go to my Acura dealer in Houston, but this time I was in a hurry. I needed a new car really bad, because my old one had suddenly broken down and I couldn’t waste the money renting a car every day. When I just showed up at the Acura dealer in Houston, though, they didn’t rush me through anything. It was the Gillman Acura dealer in Houston.

I sat down with a salesperson from the Acura dealer in Houston and we went online to their website to look at the loan and lease calculator. Doing that, we figured out how much I could afford to pay per month and for the car as a whole. Then they took me out to the lot of the Acura dealer in Houston and showed me several cars, telling me the crash test scores and everything. In the end, I was able to make an intelligent decision thanks to my Acura dealer in Houston, which you can’t say about most dealerships.

I graduated from college last May, but I hadn’t stopped by any of the Acura dealerships in Houston until recently. The reason I waited was mostly because in November and December they have the best sales, but also because I wanted to make a big down payment at one of the Acura dealerships in Houston and had just gotten a new job.

The car I ended up getting was the TL, which is an entry level luxury car that costs around thirty thousand dollars at most Acura dealerships in Houston. It has a lot of space on the interior but looks very compact and sleek on the outside. I was able to choose the engine and type of transmission, and the Acura dealerships in Houston helped me make this decision. Honestly, though? The aspect that I’ve gotten the most kick out of so far is the booming surround sound.

I bought my car through Gilman Houston Acura because they offer so many specials. The special that I got on my car was a two thousand dollar rebate. One of the problems that I had, though, was that I have bad credit and so I had to get my financing through a bad credit loan. Gillman Houston Acura offers these, but the rates are very high. In order to get the rebate, though, you have to get financed through Gillman Houston Acura.

So, I got my financing and I took my car and I left Gillman Houston Acura. And then the second I got home I applied for a bad credit loan online. The loan I ended up getting was for a shorter term period, with smaller monthly payments and a lower APR, and I still got to keep the rebate from Gillman Houston Acura.

The Houston Acura dealer on the way to my job had the 2008 Acura MDX on display for the first time one day as I drove to work, and I had to pull over to look at it. I had been researching cars for a month by then, but a Houston Acura just hadn’t even occurred to me, I guess because you don’t hear about the Houston Acura make all of the time like you do Ford and Toyota and their like.

I’ve had it for a couple of months now, and I am very pleased. It sits seven people, which is good because I coach a soccer team. It handles well and has a powerful engine, which also suits me when I’m just driving alone.

When I bought a car from my Houston Acura dealer I was kind of confused about the whole process. I had tried to make a budget and figure out from looking at my credit report how much I would be paying the Houston Acura dealer, but when it’s your first time buying a car, it’s kind of confusing.

Lucky for me, the Houston Acura dealer (Gillman) that I went to had some very helpful employees. They sat me down and got out their calculator and helped me figure out, based on my credit report, how much I would end up paying every month and for how long, what the final total paid to the Houston Acura dealer would be, and how much I would pay in interest.

I got my luxury Acura TSX from a Houston Acura dealership for a much better price than I had expected for such a quality vehicle–$25,000, which was three thousand dollars lower than the MSRP, thanks to negotiating and the rebate that the Houston Acura dealership offered me. Most luxury vehicles, even the lower level ones, go for a much higher price at every Houston Acura dealership.

Since I have had it, the Acura TSX has made me pretty happy. It’s driving is so smooth and easy. It turns corners tightly and goes racecar speed when I want it to. It doesn’t eat up a lot of gas, and it’s well designed inside and out.
